Chef Christopher Vargas joined the Bistro Catering team in 2021 as Executive Chef. Born into the hospitality industry, Chef Vargas began working in his family’s restaurant kitchen at a young age, helping his parents in a variety of culinary capacities. With an eye on his desire to forge a culinary career, chef Vargas studied under chef Fritz Bloomberg and quickly earned himself the position of Sous Chef at The Peoples Place Restaurant upon graduation. Chef Vargas focused his early career in the Orlando area, where his talent earned him Executive Chef positions in several notable hotel and country club restaurants. Opportunity knocked, leading chef Vargas to focus on professional sport event catering, including Nascar and the PGA Tour, followed by a time in Memphis in banquet catering for large scale events. Chef Vargas has cooked for presidents, dignitaries, professional athletes, fellow award-winning chefs and now leads the Bistro Catering team, where he prides himself on an innate passion for the culinary world. His focus on utilizing a variety of culinary styles and the utilization of fresh, seasonal ingredients and flavors speak volumes, whether at an intimate dinner party or large event

Jen Givens is a Jackson Hole native - born and raised in the valley. Her entry into the hospitality world began in her teens when she started working with Grand Teton Lodge Company. Jen left the valley to attend and graduate from Colorado State University. After spending some time working in Florida as a wedding and event planner, Jen found herself missing the mountains and moved back to Jackson in the summer of 2013. Upon her return, Jen worked with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort as the Group Sales and Event Manager and then moved into her position with Bistro Catering in 2018. Jen’s thorough planning and attention to detail are evident in each event, from the initial planning stages to the final event execution, allowing the host to relax, enjoy and know each detail will be executed with precision.
